About Us
Pack 1160 is chartered by Community of Faith United Methodist Church in Herndon, VA. We welcome both Boys and Girls, most Scouts in the pack attend A. Scott Crossfield Elementary School or Hunters Woods Elementary School.
About Joining
Most Scouts join at the beginning of the school year, but Scouts can join at any point during the year. The Scouting year runs June 1-May 31 (or until the last day of school).
No matter where a Scout goes to school or the faith their family practices, they're welcome to join Pack 1160.

What are Cub Scouts and their Ranks?
CUB SCOUTS
Cub Scouts is the Boy Scouts of America's program for K-5th graders. Cub Scouts is all about having fun while learning skills that will help Scouts later on. Each grade has a program tailored to match the maturity and attention span of the scouts. Everything Cub Scouts do match one of the 10 ideals of Cub Scouts:

RANKS
Scouts are organized into groups of 6-8 kids of the game grade/age called dens. The Scouts of a den normally all work toward the same rank, which is also the name of the year in scouting. The ranks are:
Kintergarden - Lion
1st Grade - Tiger
2nd Grade - Wolf
3rd Grade - Bear
4th Grade - Webelos
5th Grade - Arrow of Light & Bridge to Scouts BSA
